Cruz Roja use RSP-100 for Domestic Violence Program
The Red Cross in Spain (Cruz Roja) plays an important part in many areas of social and community support.
Unlike in the UK, the Red Cross works closely with government agencies to provide essential services to those in need.
One such service provides direct support to victims of domestic violence. Cruz Roja have set up Domestic Violence Emergency Response Centers and have taken the bold approach of providing nearly 5,000 Romad RSP-100 personal safety phones to those who need them for the prevention of domestic violence.
Domestic violence is viewed as a taboo subject in many countries, however, Spain, and in particular Cruz Roja, have taken a significant stance in supporting victims. From press coverage to producing videos, they are doing all they can to raise awareness of this growing problem.
